SAGE TEACHER MENTOR PROGRAM
Since 2012, Massachusetts Agriculture in the Classroom has been mentoring new schools through their start up phases of school gardening.

ABOUT
Applications and mentoring is open to teachers who:
-
Want to start a new school garden and integrate agriculture into their classroom,
-
Are in the beginning stages of school garden & agriculture programming, or
-
Wish to revitalize existing programs and gardens
SERVICES
Mentored schools are a part of our program for two years, and:

Attend an initial cohort meeting on August 4 2015
-
Attend cohort meetings at the Fall and Spring Mass Ag conferences
-
Have a one on one initial consultation
-
Receive season visits from our coordinator and/or mentors
-
On-going phone and e-mail support from coordinator and/or mentors
-
Apply for a mini-grant or stipend for supplies
-
Receive a kit of resources
-
Create a lesson or activity to share with their cohort and other Massachusetts educators

CRITERIA
To apply you must

Be a teacher working within a Massachusetts elementary, middle, or high school
-
Have school principal or supervisor support
