MAC Kids: Welcome to Nursery Fun!
- Plants get energy from the sun.
They give oxygen to animals to breathe in, and get
carbon dioxide from animals as they breathe out.
- Plants are living things that need air and water and sunlight.
- Plants give us food, but not all plants are food. Plants clean our air, hold our soil in place, shade us
from hot sun and shield us from strong winds.
- We play a trading game with plants. Plants give us oxygen to breathe in as part of our air. When we breathe out (exhale), we give plants carbon dioxide.
- They use carbon dioxide with sun and water to make food. Plants and people are a team. We really need each other.
